All Star Grind

The CP3 All Stars youth basketball team is throwing a fundraiser by offering $1.00 raffle tickets to raise funds that will assist with team future expenses.  CP3 All Stars basketball team has talent and skills to compete AND win in the top AAU tournaments!! The team players are reaching out to family, friends and supporters to help the team afford participation (transportation, lodging, food, etc..) in  future tournaments. The boys are encouraging YOU to purchase as many tickets as you like at a chance to win TWO $100.00 Gift Cards (Walmart & VISA). This is a great opportunity to flip your $1.00 into $200 and providing support to great group of boys, CP3 All Stars youth basketball team!

The raffle drawing will take place on 6/10/2012 with the team’s Head Coach, the team, and all participating parents present. The winning raffle ticket number will be announced via www.AllStarGrind.com on 6/10/2012 and the winner will be contacted via email. The prize may be mailed or hand delivered to the winner.

It’s no secret that Mt. Pisgah Christian School’s male basketball squad took home the 5A Title trophy this past Saturday night against Providence to become the region champions. It was a hard fought game that lasted two overtimes, testing the team’s mettle. What’s the secret behind their late season success and bright future? The answer is simple- three outstanding freshman players.

Aaron Winchester led the team against Providence with 15 points, including a stunning buzzer beater to force a second overtime. At the wing position, Winchester is an all-around skill player that knows how to score, especially when it counts.

Another piece to Mt. Pisgah’s puzzle is speedy young guard Rondy Brownlee. Scoring nine against Providence, including six crucial points late in the game, this quick footed point guard knows how to run the floor and get to the rim. Rondy also showcased his agility and scoring abilities Wednesday night with 10 points against Aquinas High School.

Lastly, they’ve got the makings of a great forward in Quarte Sapp. Sapp plays in the post and is quickly making his presence felt with his great strength, which he showed with 10 big points in Wednesday night’s game against Aquinas. Look for him to make waves with great rebounding and the ability to get to the free throw line.

Mr. Ochocinco tweeted this week that he will be playing soccer for the MLS team Sporting Kansas City on March 22nd. Chad supposedly played soccer until the age of 16 and warms up with a soccer ball before NFL games.

The team announced they are excited to have Ochocinco training/trying out for the team next week. Ochocinco is pictured above with Juan Pablo Galavis, who plays soccer for Miami’s USL-1 team.

The curent King of Dunk, Blake Griffin is on his GRIND by giving back………………………..

By using his talent Blake is raising money to fight childhood obesity. He is participating in a fundraiser this year called Dunking for Dollars. For every dunk he gets this season, Griffin is going to donate $100 to fight childhood obesity. Nestle is teaming up with the basketball star to match every dollar Griffin puts up. So far this season, Griffin has racked up 137 dunks and is going strong. Griffin is very dedicated to promoting active and healthy lifestyles.
